libroot-gui-ged-dev software package provides GUI element for editing various ROOT objects - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libroot-gui-ged-dev
libroot-gui-ged-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libroot-gui-ged-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libroot-gui-ged-dev *
You will get with libroot-gui-ged-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
